The thought of an art exhibition featuring a single Renaissance painting didn’t sound interesting at first. But when you consider that the “Biggest Little City” beat out the likes of Paris, New York and Los Angeles to be the first museum outside Italy to host Raphael’s La Donna Velata, things get exciting. This campaign’s brazen bravado made it one of the most popular exhibitions the Nevada Museum of Art has ever hosted.
